Summer Party | Yet Another Update

This is a little message from Sandrine, the new organiser of the Summer Party =)

A small amount of beer, soft drinks and crisps will be provided as well as cutlery and plates. 

Be sure to bring your own meat/vegetables to put on the grill! 

And bring some more drinks if you like!

Hello Everybody,

Due to the horrendous weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight we have no choice but to cancel the summer party.

Apparently it's been the tradition for the past few years but we're confident that we will manage to have a sunny summer party one year or another.

Summer Party / Lakeside BBQ

Hello Everybody =)

A bit of a late notice but better late than never, right ?!

We're having the traditional Summer Party next Tuesday, that is the 26th of May from 6.30 pm by the lakeside in front of the University.

(it will happen unless the weather prevents it)

We'll provide crisps, salads, a few soft drinks and possibly a couple of lake temperature beers as well as the barbecue.

Please bring your meat/veggie thing/whatever you want to put on the BBQ and a few more beers if you want to.

We're aware that a lot of you are starting to work on your exams but we'd be happy to have you even for 5 minutes.

Again, it would be very helpful for us to have a rough idea of how many of you are coming. Here's the new RSVP form :

Pub Night | May 2015

Hello Everybody,

As promised in the last article here are the info for the next event.

It will be a Pub Night that will take place at the Café du Cerf on the 20th of May from 6pm (happy 1/2 hour from 6.30 to 7 !)

It will be a casual night together at the pub where we'll have the opportunity to meet and talk whilst enjoying a few pints of beer and/or cider.

As the pub wants the night to be as good as possible for us as well as for them, it'd be great if you could RSVP (that way they know how much beer to have at the ready (and tables, and staff, ...)) using the nifty little gadget below :




We have been told that first year BA students have the practical language exam from 6 to 8... You are more than welcome to join us after the exam for a well deserved night out !

We were planning on having a Pub Quiz but due to lack of time it sadly won't be possible, however it does remain on the agenda for next semester and know that the Café du Cerf does pub quiz every Tuesday night !

Tea Party | How It Went

Hello Everybody !

We're happy to report that the tea party was a success !!!

We were afraid that it would only be 5 of us but actually around 20 people showed up and fortunately - though we weren't expecting it- we were secretly hoping it and therefore were ready for it !

Sadly we forgot to take pictures apart from one at the very beginning.

Keep your eyes peeled as the announcement of the next two events is coming up in the next few days (possibly even hours ...)
